Mara Babin

Mara Babin is a Managing Director at Golden Seeds based in New York City, where she oversees early-stage venture capital investments in women-founded companies. Before assuming her current leadership position in 2015, she held finance and operations roles at various early-stage startups and earned an MBA from Columbia Business School, alongside a BA from the University of Pennsylvania. Throughout her venture capital tenure, Babin has led or participated in more than 20 investments across the consumer products, healthtech, SaaS, and financial technology sectors. Her recent transaction history includes leading a 2024 funding round for the healthtech startup FemHealth and managing investments in companies like Care/of, which was acquired by Ritual in 2022. Babin currently focuses on deploying capital into diverse, female-led technology enterprises while actively participating in major industry events such as TechCrunch Disrupt.
