Prior to joining the venture capital sector, he spent nearly a decade in corporate strategy and product management, including a pivotal role as a Senior Director at Microsoft where he managed a $50 million enterprise software portfolio. He previously worked as an Engagement Manager at McKinsey and Company, advising Fortune 500 technology clients on market expansion and operational efficiency. At Merak Ventures, Gupta has led more than 15 seed and Series A investments, deploying capital into emerging sectors such as climate technology, artificial intelligence, and enterprise software. His current focus centers on identifying and scaling high growth B2B startups across the South Asian market while leveraging his extensive operational background to support emerging founders.
