Malte Barth

Malte Barth is the Founding General Partner at BITKRAFT Ventures, operating primarily out of offices located in London and Lisbon. Before co-founding the early-stage venture capital firm in 2017, he served as the Head of Esports at Modern Times Group, where he built an extensive global esports portfolio that eventually sold for $1.5 billion in 2022. During his tenure, he held board positions at major industry organizations including ESL and DreamHack, and he has also worked as an Industrial Advisor to EQT Partners since 2010. Over his two-decade career, Barth has executed more than 70 deals totaling approximately $270 million in transaction volume. He previously earned a degree in Industrial Engineering and Business Management from Nordakademie. His current investment focus centers on early-stage venture opportunities across the global gaming, esports, and interactive media sectors.
