Malin Carlstrom

Malin Carlstrom is a General Partner at Climentum Capital based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Prior to joining the independent decarbonization fund, she spent nearly five years as the Head of Ventures at ABB Electrification and served as Senior Vice President of Northern Europe for ABB Technology Ventures. During her tenure at ABB working under unit head Kurt Kaltenegger, Carlstrom directed investments into 35 startups and scaleups over a three-year period. Her notable corporate venture capital transactions included backing energy technology companies such as Atom Power, which subsequently secured $100 million from SK Group, and Brainbox AI. Before her corporate venture roles, she also held the position of Investment Director at the innovation growth hub SynerLeap. Carlstrom currently focuses her investment strategy on deep tech and hardware startups developing solutions for carbon reduction and energy efficiency.
