Mahmoud Al-Madi is the chief executive officer and cofounder of Cyberdesk, an artificial intelligence software startup currently participating in the Y Combinator Summer 2025 batch. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Rice University, where he co-published technical research in direct collaboration with the Rice Networks Group. During his academic tenure, Al-Madi engineered specialized machine learning and artificial intelligence solutions for the Baylor College of Medicine Neuroscience department and Texas Children's Hospital. Following his university studies, he transitioned to the corporate sector to develop robotic process automation systems that were ultimately deployed to more than 20,000 employees across a major Fortune 100 enterprise. This large-scale enterprise automation experience directly informed the foundation of Cyberdesk, where his current technical focus centers on building advanced computer use agents to streamline and automate complex desktop workflows.
