Mac Hofeditz

Mac Hofeditz is the Managing Partner at Calibrate Ventures, an early-stage investment firm based in Austin, Texas. Prior to transitioning into venture capital, he served as the founder of Loyalton Pet Care, which culminated in a successful exit, and operated as the co-founder of the technology startup 8BillionBits. As an active investor, he has built a portfolio comprising more than 20 investments, recently leading a 2025 seed round for an artificial intelligence-driven climate technology company. Beyond his direct capital allocations, he hosts The Investor’s Podcast, authored the Startup Scaling Playbook in the first quarter of 2026, and delivered an address at the Austin Tech Summit. His current professional focus remains centered on advising early-stage technology startups through operational scaling, leveraging his domain expertise in business-to-business software and consumer products to accelerate the growth of emerging companies.
