Lyn Chen

Lyn Chen is the Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Webapp.io, a technology startup focused on building and improving software development environments. She initially studied computer science and economics at Queen's University before dropping out to accept the prestigious Thiel Fellowship and pursue entrepreneurship full-time. Prior to her current venture, Chen served as the Chief Executive Officer of an independent food technology company. In this leadership role, she successfully scaled the business and ultimately sold its operations to major enterprise clients, including PwC and WeWork. Additionally, she has held various senior growth engineering positions across multiple technology startups, where she notably executed critical turnaround strategies that prevented at least one software company from shutting down. Outside of tech, Chen is a competitive powerlifter, while her professional focus remains on operational leadership and scaling early-stage enterprises.
