Luke Nosek

Luke Nosek is the Managing Partner at Gigafund, a venture capital firm he co-founded in 2017, and is based in San Francisco, California. He previously co-founded PayPal, serving as Vice President of Marketing and Strategy until the payment network was acquired by eBay for $1.5 billion in 2001. Nosek later co-founded Founders Fund in 2005, serving as a Managing Partner for twelve years and helping grow the firm to over $4 billion in assets under management. He led the first institutional venture investment in SpaceX in 2008 and currently sits on its board of directors, with Gigafund subsequently deploying more than $1 billion into the aerospace manufacturer. Holding a computer engineering degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, his current focus centers on transformative technology startups that prioritize product sales and subscription revenue models.
