Lucas Young

Lucas Young is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of NightSight Technologies, an emerging defense technology startup based in San Francisco, California. Prior to founding the company in 2021, he served as a Senior Software Engineer at Anduril Industries, where he led a 15-person engineering team developing computer vision algorithms for autonomous drone navigation systems. Earlier in his career, Young worked as a Systems Analyst at Palantir Technologies and spent three years as a dedicated optical systems researcher at L3Harris Technologies. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where his extensive graduate research generated two patents in low-light image processing. His current professional focus centers on leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance digital night vision software for both military and commercial aviation hardware applications.
