Lu Cheng

Lu Cheng is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Zip, an enterprise spend management and procurement platform. He established the software company alongside co-founder Rujul Zaparde over five years ago to modernize and streamline complex corporate purchasing workflows. Prior to launching Zip, Cheng spent six years in technical leadership roles at Airbnb, where he ultimately served as the Head of Engineering for the Airbnb Experiences division. In his current executive capacity, he oversees the technical development of the platform, recently participating in the Zip Forward 2025 event to highlight the integration of artificial intelligence within modern procurement systems. Throughout his career, he has developed specialized domain expertise in engineering leadership, transitioning from consumer technology to B2B operations. His current focus remains on scaling engineering teams and building robust software architecture for enterprise applications.
