Liza Velarde

Liza Velarde is the Co-Founder and acting CEO of Delee Corp., a medical device company based in Monterrey, Mexico, developing blood-testing technology to isolate circulating tumor cells for cancer diagnostics. Under her leadership, the Y Combinator and StartX alumni startup advanced from ideation to commercialization, securing over $3 million in seed funding from Emles Venture Partners and generating $2.5 million in hospital pre-orders. The enterprise employs 17 full-time staff members, holds three patent-pending applications, and has published two peer-reviewed articles in Nature Scientific Reports. Previously serving as the CEO of Photuris, Velarde was recognized on the Forbes Mexico list of the 100 most powerful women in the country.
