Linhao Zhang

Linhao Zhang is the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Formation Bio, an artificial intelligence-focused pharmaceutical technology company. Before transitioning to the COO role in October 2021, he served as the company's Chief Technology Officer for seven years, overseeing the initial development of its clinical trial optimization platform. His earlier career includes technical roles as a Product Engineer at Oscar Insurance from 2015 to 2016, and as a Software Engineer at the enterprise software company Salesforce between 2013 and 2014. Zhang earned a computer science degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 2013 and later established Foundation 649 in June 2019 to provide college scholarships for Asian American and Pacific Islander students. His current professional focus centers on integrating software engineering with pharmaceutical innovation to accelerate clinical development and bring new medicines to patients.
