Lin Ling

Lin Ling is the Co-Founder and CEO of Modus, an AI-powered enterprise workforce planning platform, based in Austin, Texas. Backed by Y Combinator, she launched the headcount management software company in February 2024 to streamline organizational budgeting, compensation benchmarking, and financial planning. Previously, Ling served as the Vice President of Business Operations at HashiCorp from 2018 to 2024. During her tenure, she helped scale the organization from 100 to 2,500 employees and was a key member of the team that guided the enterprise software firm through its initial public offering. Earlier in her career, she worked as a consultant at Deloitte, implementing enterprise resource planning systems for five Fortune 500 companies, after earning a bachelor's degree from NYU Stern. Her current focus centers on leveraging artificial intelligence to optimize enterprise headcount management and scale business operations.
