Lawrence Gentilello

Lawrence Gentilello is the CEO and co-founder of Optery, a data privacy software company based in San Francisco, California. Under his executive leadership, the seed-funded startup has scaled to eight figures in annual recurring revenue, serving hundreds of thousands of individual consumers and over a thousand business clients. Prior to launching Optery through the Y Combinator accelerator program in 2022, he led the North American Data Management Platforms practice at Accenture. He also held product management and technical consulting leadership roles at Oracle and BlueKai, and previously co-founded the Y Combinator-backed technology startup Screenleap. Gentilello holds a bachelor's degree from Stanford University, where he co-created an early online student directory in 1999, alongside an MBA from Duke University. His current focus centers on developing automated B2B and B2C opt-out platforms that efficiently remove personal information from online data brokers.
