LAWRENCE CHEN

Lawrence Chen is a Co-founder of Manaflow, an open-source artificial intelligence developer tools company based in San Francisco, California. Founded in 2024 alongside Austin Wang and Wesley Tjangnaka, the two-employee startup operates as an applied AI lab focused on building infrastructure for coding agents. The company's primary software project is cmux, an open-source terminal designed to facilitate end-to-end technical workflow automation involving complex data analysis and API integrations. Prior to establishing Manaflow, Chen served as a Founding Engineer at Minion AI, where he contributed to the early development of autonomous systems. He holds a computer science degree from the University of California, Berkeley, where he also gained academic research experience at the Berkeley RISE Lab. His current focus centers on engineering developer tooling and autonomous agents to streamline complex business operations while maintaining human oversight.
