Lakshay Sharma

Lakshay Sharma is the cofounder and chief executive officer of Cerulion, a robotics middleware startup based in San Francisco, California. Prior to launching the Y Combinator-backed enterprise, he studied computer engineering, astrophysics, and robotics at the University of Pennsylvania, and he subsequently conducted research focused on robot motion planners at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. At Cerulion, Sharma directs the development of an open-source operating system designed to replace traditional frameworks, reportedly delivering up to 1,000x improvements in communications performance and enabling 10x faster engineering cycles. The startup's software infrastructure is currently utilized by major industry organizations, specifically including Amazon Robotics and the Boston Dynamics AI Institute.
