Kevin Gu

Kevin Gu is the co-founder of Dex, a Y Combinator-backed personal relationship management software platform based in San Francisco, California. Before establishing this productivity startup during the accelerator's Winter 2019 batch, he completed his undergraduate studies in mathematics and statistics at Harvard University. Gu subsequently built a highly technical foundation in algorithmic trading by working as a quantitative and machine learning researcher at Jump Trading. He further expanded his expertise in applied data science through a similar quantitative research role at the data analytics firm QuantCo. In addition to his work in the finance sector, he held specialized artificial intelligence research positions at major technology corporations including Meta and IBM Research. His current focus centers on leveraging his extensive background in advanced machine learning and statistical analysis to build scalable consumer and professional productivity software tools.
