Katie-Rose Skelly

Katie-Rose Skelly is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Known Medicine, a precision medicine startup based in Salt Lake City, Utah. She earned both a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Informatics from Stanford University. Prior to launching her own venture, Skelly worked at Recursion Pharmaceuticals, where she managed a specialized team of PhD-level data scientists focused on artificial intelligence applications for early-stage pharmaceutical development. In the summer of 2020, she established Known Medicine and participated in the Y Combinator accelerator program before successfully securing a $7.2 million seed funding round led by Khosla Ventures in August 2021. Her professional background centers on leveraging machine learning and biomedical informatics to build predictive models that advance oncology treatments, precision medicine, and AI-driven drug discovery.
