Karin Underwood

Karin Underwood is the Founder of Verano Health, a technology-enabled health coaching platform based in San Francisco, California. She earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2019, where she was selected as a Stanford Social Innovation Fellow to develop accessible medical solutions. Before establishing this startup, which originally operated under the name CoachMe Health, Underwood spent three years working in global health initiatives across Kenya and Myanmar. Her professional background encompasses healthcare operations, product strategy, and clinical research aimed at improving medical access for Medicaid-eligible and low-income populations. She also integrates concepts like heart rate variability and biohacking into her public health frameworks. Underwood currently focuses on developing accessible healthcare technology and digital coaching solutions designed to reduce emergency room utilization and improve clinical outcomes for underserved communities.
