Kamal Nahas

Kamal Nahas is a freelance science journalist based in Oxford, United Kingdom, who previously worked as a software engineer and technology professional. During his tenure in the venture capital sector at Human Capital, he evaluated technical talent and built a professional network of hundreds of engineers to support startup ecosystem recruitment. Prior to this talent acquisition role, Nahas served as a security and machine learning software engineering intern at Apple. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences from UC Berkeley alongside a PhD, and he has directed humanitarian relief operations in Lebanon that housed over 25 civilians and fed 230 families for an entire month. Today, his professional focus centers on science journalism, leveraging his technical background to author scientific content featured in prominent media outlets such as Science and Live Science.
