Before joining Bessemer Venture Partners in 2018, Justin built a formidable career marked by both entrepreneurial success and significant contributions to leading technology giants. He is perhaps best known as the co-founder and CTO of Parse, a pioneering mobile backend as a service platform. Parse provided developers with a robust suite of tools to build mobile applications more quickly and efficiently, ultimately leading to its acquisition by Facebook in 2013. This firsthand experience of building a successful startup from the ground up, navigating product development, scaling infrastructure, and achieving a significant exit, provides him with invaluable insights that he now shares with Bessemer's portfolio companies.

Following the acquisition, Justin continued his journey at Facebook as a Product Manager, contributing to the integration and expansion of Parse's capabilities within the Facebook ecosystem. His earlier career also includes a tenure as a Software Engineer at Google, where he honed his technical acumen and gained exposure to large-scale systems and complex engineering challenges. This diverse background, spanning engineering, product management, and entrepreneurship, makes him a uniquely qualified investor who truly understands the multifaceted journey of a startup founder. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University.
