Before joining Andreessen Horowitz in July 2019, Justin Kahl built a robust career foundation in finance and investment. He honed his skills as an investor at General Atlantic, a prominent global growth equity firm. During his tenure there, he focused on growth-stage investments across software, internet, and financial technology sectors, gaining invaluable experience in evaluating and scaling innovative companies. Prior to General Atlantic, Kahl began his career in investment banking as an Analyst in the Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT) Group at Goldman Sachs. This early experience provided him with a comprehensive understanding of financial markets and the technology landscape, preparing him for his subsequent roles in venture capital. He is an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania, having studied at the Wharton School.

At Andreessen Horowitz, Kahl contributes to the firm's strategic vision for its Growth fund, which aims to back the next generation of iconic technology companies.
