Juliana Hilliard

Juliana Hilliard is the Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Parallel Bio, a biotechnology company focused on developing human immune system models for drug discovery. Since founding the firm with Robert DiFazio in 2021, she has helped secure a $21 million Series A and established partnerships with eight pharmaceutical companies, including three Fortune 500 corporations. Under her scientific leadership, the company has tested over 50 drugs on its organoid platform and plans to submit its first therapeutic to the FDA within 12 to 18 months. Previously, Hilliard served as a Staff Scientist in Organoid Development at System1 Biosciences and conducted research at the Knoblich Lab at IMBA. She holds science degrees from Technische Universität Dresden and Virginia Tech. Her current focus centers on advancing AI-driven preclinical testing and immune organoids to replace traditional animal models.
