Julian Golder

Julian Golder is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Emote Education, an education technology platform based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. He launched the student behavioral health startup through the Y Combinator Winter 2018 batch before leading its successful acquisition by Social Solutions, which is now a part of Bonterra, in June 2021. Prior to founding Emote, Golder served as an early employee at the tutoring marketplace Wyzant, where he helped scale differentiated instruction to reach millions of students nationwide. His earlier career includes opening and operating a school focused on deep differentiation, developing a national curriculum, and launching three distinct educational organizations after initially starting in biomedical research. Holding a Bachelor of Science degree, Golder maintains a professional focus on developing data-driven tools that augment human capacity to support student mental health and social-emotional learning.
