Julia Niiro

Julia Niiro is the Portland, Oregon-based Founder of MilkRun, an agricultural technology and direct-to-consumer grocery delivery marketplace that connects local farmers directly with community buyers. She transitioned into the sustainable agriculture sector in 2014 after leaving a corporate career as a digital marketing director to become a farmer. Niiro subsequently took over and operated Revel Meat Co, scaling the USDA-certified meat processing facility into a highly successful wholesale meat delivery business for regional restaurants. Building on her supply chain logistics experience, she launched MilkRun to help rebuild local food systems, successfully raising a $6 million venture capital seed round in 2020 to expand operations across multiple United States cities. Her entrepreneurial work in food processing infrastructure and optimizing direct-to-consumer supply chains earned her prestigious recognition on the 2019 Inc. Magazine Female Founders list.
