Juan Maldonado is an angel investor and startup advisor based in New York City. He previously served as the co-founder, Chief Operating Officer, and Head of People at Arcus, a Y Combinator-backed fintech platform focused on the Latin American payments market. During his tenure, he scaled the company's operations from its 2013 launch and built an international team of over 200 employees to power payment infrastructure for enterprise clients including BBVA, Santander, and Walmart. Following the acquisition of Arcus by Mastercard in 2021, he transitioned to his current advisory practice.
