Juan Camilo Poveda

Juan Camilo Poveda is the CEO and Co-founder of Mono, a financial technology startup based in Bogotá, Colombia. He assumed the chief executive role in May 2025, succeeding Salomón Zarruk, to lead the company through a strategic pivot from neobanking toward providing API-based financial infrastructure for businesses. Under his leadership, Mono processes over $40 million in monthly transaction volume, achieved profitability, and previously secured a $6 million seed round at a $50 million valuation from investors including Y Combinator and Tiger Global Management. Before co-founding Mono in 2020, Poveda served as a Product Manager at Nubank and worked as a product owner, developing lending and digital banking products. His current focus centers on scaling regional B2B financial infrastructure across Latin America by enabling companies to integrate debit cards, digital wallets, and massive payment systems.
