Juan Camilo Poveda is the CEO and Co-founder of Mono, a financial technology startup based in Bogotá, Colombia. He assumed the chief executive role in May 2025, succeeding Salomón Zarruk, to lead the company through a strategic pivot from neobanking toward providing API-based financial infrastructure for businesses. Under his leadership, Mono processes over $40 million in monthly transaction volume, achieved profitability, and previously secured a $6 million seed round at a $50 million valuation from investors including Y Combinator and Tiger Global Management. Before co-founding Mono in 2020, Poveda served as a Product Manager at Nubank and worked as a product owner, developing lending and digital banking products.
