Josh Kelly is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pave Robotics, a Y Combinator-backed startup developing autonomous robots that seal cracks in asphalt for commercial paving companies. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and previously worked as a Mechatronics Engineer at the autonomous drone delivery company Zipline. Prior to founding his current enterprise, Kelly served as the Head of Engineering for YouTuber Mark Rober, where he designed complex mechanical systems for highly visible digital content. During this tenure, he engineered autonomous porch pirate traps, widely known as glitterbombs, and developed a custom robot capable of setting up more than 100,000 dominoes within a 24-hour period. Kelly now leverages his extensive background in mechatronics, viral engineering projects, and industrial automation to modernize traditional infrastructure maintenance through advanced robotics.
