Jose Bethancourt

Jose Bethancourt is the cofounder and CEO of Method Financial, a financial technology company based in Austin, Texas. Under his leadership, the fintech startup provides embedded liability data and debt repayment APIs, helping three million users connect 24 million liability accounts and facilitating hundreds of millions of dollars in repayments. In September 2022, Bethancourt guided the enterprise through a $16 million Series A funding round led by venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz. Before launching his current embedded finance venture, he held technical roles at aviation software provider ForeFlight and payments company Clover. The serial technology founder, who achieved one prior successful startup exit, studied Computer Science and Business at the University of Texas at Austin. His professional background centers on developing scalable application programming interfaces and embedded financial infrastructure to streamline consumer debt management.
