Jorrie Brettin is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of BrowserBook, an early-stage browser automation startup based in New York, New York. Founded in 2024 alongside Christopher Schlaepfer, the three-employee company recently participated in the Y Combinator Fall 2024 batch to develop an integrated development environment for AI agents. Prior to launching this venture, Brettin worked as a software engineer at Google, where he focused on building and maintaining commercial platform software. The computer scientist originally hails from rural North Dakota and subsequently earned a degree in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as part of the Class of 2016. During his academic tenure, he also participated in an MIT-sponsored Summer Science Program dedicated to researching asteroids. Brettin currently focuses on engineering technical infrastructure for browser automation and applying artificial intelligence to everyday digital interfaces.
