Jordan Miller is the Chief Scientist for Regenerative Medicine at 3D Systems, based in Houston, Texas. He earned a bachelor's degree in biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2003 and a doctorate in bioengineering from Rice University in 2008. Following his academic tenure as an Assistant Professor of Bioengineering at Rice University, Miller co-founded Volumetric. He served as President of the biotechnology startup, which utilized molecular imaging and microfabrication to manufacture viable human organ replacements. After participating in the Y Combinator winter 2020 batch, he guided Volumetric to an exit when the company was acquired by 3D Systems in 2021 through a transaction valued at up to $400 million. His ongoing professional focus remains centered on advancing 3D bioprinting and regenerative medicine technologies to create scalable organ replacements for human patients.
