Jon Miller Schwartz

Jon Miller Schwartz is a robotics and manufacturing engineer currently developing intelligent-industrial robots at Ultra, an advanced automation startup based in New York City, New York. As a two-time Y Combinator alumnus, he previously co-founded and scaled Voodoo Manufacturing during the accelerator's Winter 2017 batch, following his earlier success co-founding Layer By Layer in the Summer 2013 batch. Layer By Layer, a 3D printing software platform, was subsequently acquired by MakerBot, highlighting his early impact on the additive manufacturing sector. Schwartz also contributed his engineering expertise to Body Labs, a 3D body scanning company acquired by Amazon in July 2017, and worked on artificial intelligence applications at Arena AI. Following the closure of Voodoo Manufacturing in 2022, his current professional focus remains centered on bridging software and hardware to deploy scalable, AI-driven industrial automation solutions.
