John Xie

John Xie is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Taskade, an artificial intelligence productivity software company based in San Francisco, California. Prior to establishing this collaborative workspace, he founded Enki, a technology startup that was acquired by Duolingo in 2021, and studied computer science at UC Berkeley. Under his leadership, the Y Combinator alumni company has secured over $10 million in total venture funding, including a $5 million Series A extension led by Matrix Partners in 2024. The platform currently supports more than two million users globally and recently expanded its enterprise capabilities to facilitate complex workflow automation for distributed workforces. In March 2025, Xie directed the launch of new autonomous agents designed to streamline daily business operations. His ongoing focus centers on scaling B2B SaaS solutions that merge artificial intelligence with remote team collaboration.
