John Wetzel

John Wetzel is a technology product leader currently overseeing the HRIS, Performance, and Engagement software product lines at ChartHop. Before assuming his current position, he founded Gather, an enterprise software startup focused on building workplace engagement and people operations tools for modern organizations. He guided the company through the Y Combinator accelerator program as part of the Winter 2020 cohort and subsequently led the business to a successful exit when it was acquired by ChartHop in 2022. Outside of his primary work in the human resources technology sector, he is also an active advocate for the circular economy, sustainable design, community development, and Catholic social teaching. His professional background combines deep domain expertise in human resources technology with a current focus on developing scalable software solutions that improve employee experiences and overall organizational management.
