John McCambridge

John McCambridge is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Lumenary, a technology consulting group backed by Y Combinator in the Summer 2024 batch. Before establishing Lumenary, he worked as a high-frequency trading engineer at IMC Trading, where he focused on quantitative research, complex systems, and financial data science. He also previously co-founded Sharpe, another startup supported by Y Combinator, demonstrating a consistent track record in early-stage technology ventures. Born in New Zealand and raised in the Scottish Highlands, McCambridge earned his undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College, graduating with the class of 2023. Outside of his primary professional endeavors, his highly technical background extends into cybersecurity vulnerability research, amateur rocketry, and aviation. His current focus centers on leveraging his engineering expertise in artificial intelligence agents and quantitative research to deliver scalable enterprise business solutions.
