John Bicket

John Bicket is the Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Samsara, based in San Francisco, California. Before launching Samsara in 2015, he co-founded Meraki in 2006, building the initial product based on his graduate computer science research at MIT. Serving as Meraki's Chief Technology Officer, he scaled the cloud networking platform to support millions of devices across 140 countries before Cisco acquired the business for $1.2 billion in 2012. At Samsara, Bicket directed the technical strategy to build an enterprise Internet of Things platform, leading the company to a multi-billion-dollar initial public offering in 2021. He holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Cornell University, which recently named him its 2025 Entrepreneur of the Year. His executive career focuses on developing large-scale, cloud-connected hardware and software systems for physical operations and enterprise networking.
