Johannes Jaeckle

Johannes Jaeckle is the CEO and Co-Founder of Heron Data, an AI-driven financial data automation company based in London, England. Under his leadership, the Y Combinator-backed startup serves over 130 fintech customers and processes more than 350,000 documents weekly. In July 2025, he successfully guided the firm through a $16.6 million Series A funding round led by Insight Partners to accelerate product development. Before launching his current enterprise, he built his career scaling cross-border payment platforms, most notably serving as the Managing Director at the remittance fintech Taptap Send. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and a Master of Science in Development Economics from the University of Oxford. His current focus centers on leveraging large language models to streamline document-heavy underwriting and lending workflows across the financial services sector.
