JOEL PENDLETON

Joel Pendleton is the Co-founder of Conductor Quantum, a deep tech hardware startup focused on developing scalable quantum processors utilizing silicon photonics platforms. Prior to launching this venture, he was a doctoral candidate at the University of Oxford, where he conducted advanced academic research in specialized quantum computing hardware. Before his transition to entrepreneurship, Pendleton worked across multiple deep tech startups and research laboratories to gain hands-on domain expertise in highly complex qubit modalities. His technical background includes extensive practical work exploring various quantum technologies, specifically focusing on the development of carbon nanotubes and superconducting transmon qubits. He ultimately left his doctoral studies at Oxford to build commercial quantum computers using silicon chips directly integrated with artificial intelligence. His current focus centers on advancing commercial deep tech by merging artificial intelligence with silicon-based quantum systems.
