Joel Kek

Joel Kek is the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Mito Health, an AI-driven preventative health and longevity startup based in Singapore. Prior to this role, he served as a Software Engineer at Open Government Products within GovTech Singapore, where he co-created the BlueTrace protocol and the TraceTogether contact tracing system adopted by millions of residents. In 2023, he established Mito Health alongside co-founder Kenneth Lou, subsequently securing a $1.3 million seed funding round led by Forge Ventures to scale their personalized wellness platform. Under his technical leadership, the company launched its beta application in early 2025, accumulating a waitlist of over 10,000 users, and he recently joined a Singapore government health AI initiative as an advisor. His current focus centers on bridging software engineering and bioinformatics to develop machine learning infrastructure for personalized medicine and mitochondrial optimization.
