Joaquim Dickson is the Chief Technology Officer at Instinct, a deep tech space startup focused on developing advanced satellite infrastructure for lunar exploration. He established his academic foundation by studying Physics at Imperial College London before pursuing advanced postgraduate studies in Space Technology at University College London. During his tenure at Imperial's Fluxgate Magnetometer Laboratory, he contributed directly to the engineering and development of the magnetometer instrument for NASA's Interstellar Mapping and Acceleration Probe (IMAP) spacecraft. He also gained significant aerospace engineering experience at UCL's Mullard Space Science Laboratory, where he worked on the Solar Wind Analyser instrument suite for the European Space Agency's Solar Orbiter mission. As an entrepreneur and systems engineer, Dickson currently applies his specialized background in scientific space instrumentation and complex hardware to advance commercial satellite systems designed specifically for the Moon.
