Jingsong Wang

Jingsong Wang is an Engineering Leader at Facebook (Meta), where he currently focuses on developing client and server infrastructure for Instagram messaging systems. He previously served as the first software engineer at FiveStars, spending four years helping scale the technology startup from its initial apartment office into a 300-employee organization. Following this early-stage experience, Wang spent two years at Instagram directing server infrastructure to support the platform's rapidly growing messaging capabilities. He subsequently joined Discord for a one-year tenure, where he was directly responsible for driving the company's core data platform forward before returning to Meta. Wang holds a dual bachelor's degree in computer science and economics from the University of California, Berkeley. His professional background centers on building and scaling backend server infrastructure, data platforms, and high-volume messaging systems for massive-scale consumer technology applications.
