Jessie Young

Jessie Young is the Chief Executive Officer of Cakework, an enterprise human resources and talent acquisition platform based in San Francisco, California. Under her executive leadership, the Y Combinator-backed startup recently secured a $4 million seed round in September 2024 and launched its version 2.0 onboarding suite to serve a growing client base of over 500 companies. Prior to founding Cakework, she served as the Vice President of People at Brex, where she directed workforce operations and talent strategy as the fintech unicorn scaled to more than 1,000 employees. Earlier in her professional career, she held operational roles at Scale AI and Compass after earning a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Stanford University. Her current professional focus centers on developing artificial intelligence-driven workforce management tools to streamline hiring processes for high-growth technology startups.
