Jerry Zhang

Jerry Zhang is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Lemma, an artificial intelligence infrastructure startup based in San Francisco, California. Before launching the company, he worked as an AI engineer and completed his academic training at the USC Viterbi School of Engineering. Zhang established Lemma alongside co-founder Cole Gawin to develop continuous learning systems for AI agents, subsequently securing backing from Y Combinator for its Fall 2025 batch. The two-person enterprise launched its core platform in November 2025, providing tools that automate the AI development lifecycle and reduce manual prompt iteration by 90 percent. The software enables development teams to resolve production issues rapidly while achieving performance improvements of 2 to 5 percent per optimization cycle.
