Jennifer Song

Jennifer Song is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Photonium, an artificial intelligence driven optical design automation startup based in the Bay Area. Prior to establishing the enterprise in 2025 alongside co-founder Adam Mhatre, she earned degrees in physics, mathematics, and computer science from Harvard University. Her technical background includes building complex quantum optics experiments across research environments at Harvard, Stanford University, and QuEra, a quantum computing startup backed by Google. Under her leadership, Photonium secured backing from Y Combinator for its Spring 2025 batch and launched its platform in May 2025 to replace manual engineering workflows that typically require teams of over twenty engineers. Operating with a core team of three employees, Song currently focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence to accelerate optical system design across the augmented reality, quantum photonics, metrology, and biotechnology sectors.
