Jeffrey Ip

Jeffrey Ip is the Co-Founder of Confident AI and the creator of DeepEval, a widely adopted open-source evaluation framework designed specifically for testing Large Language Models. Under his technical direction, the DeepEval project has scaled significantly within the global developer community, achieving a documented milestone of over 400,000 monthly software downloads. His enterprise software company, Confident AI, recently participated in the Winter 2024 batch of the prominent startup accelerator Y Combinator to further commercialize this artificial intelligence testing infrastructure. Prior to launching these entrepreneurial ventures, Ip built his foundational engineering expertise by working as a Software Engineer at major technology corporations, specifically focusing on software development at Google and Microsoft. His current professional focus centers entirely on advancing open-source software ecosystems and building robust developer tools that establish reliable evaluation metrics for complex machine learning systems.
