Jayesh K. Gupta

Jayesh K. Gupta is the Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Silurian AI, an artificial intelligence startup focused on developing advanced foundation models. Prior to launching his own entrepreneurial venture, he served as an artificial intelligence researcher at Microsoft, where he led the development of the technology corporation's first foundation model for global weather and climate prediction. During his tenure at Microsoft, Gupta co-authored the foundational research for Aurora, a 3.5 billion parameter machine learning model officially published in mid-2024. His professional background also includes a leadership position as the Head of AI at Poly Corporation, and he holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from Stanford University. Gupta's current focus centers on advancing machine learning technologies and building specialized foundation models to address complex climate and weather forecasting challenges across the technology sector.
