Jay V

Jay V is the co-founder and CEO of SST, an open-source developer tools company based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He previously co-founded Anomaly Innovations and co-authored the Serverless Stack Guide, an educational resource read by hundreds of thousands of software engineers building full-stack applications on AWS. Under his leadership, the SST open-source framework has accumulated over 18,000 stars on the GitHub platform and secured a seed funding round in August 2023 led by venture capital firm Greylock and investor Reid Hoffman. In early 2024, he directed the launch of SST v3, a major architectural shift that transitioned the platform's deployment engine from AWS CloudFormation to utilize Pulumi and Terraform. His current focus remains on expanding open-source cloud infrastructure frameworks and simplifying full-stack serverless application development for distributed engineering teams globally.
