Jay Goel

Jay Goel is an engineering leader based in Brooklyn and a current Engineer at Ramp who previously founded Scratch Data, a startup backed by Y Combinator in the Summer 2021 batch. Before his entrepreneurial venture, he led engineering teams at Frame.io, a video collaboration technology platform that was acquired by Adobe for $1.275 billion in August 2021. His earlier career includes technical leadership roles at prominent consumer and B2B tech companies like Squarespace and Rent the Runway, where he focused on improving warehouse efficiency and scaling inventory management systems. Goel also held engineering positions focused on logistics at an eyewear firm and an online wine startup, developing deep domain expertise in shipping, ecommerce, SaaS, and financial software. Outside of scaling technical platforms in the technology sector, he remains an active saxophonist and avid jazz enthusiast.
