Jason Tan

Jason Tan is the Co-Founder and Executive Chairman of Sift, a digital trust and fraud prevention software platform based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Before launching the technology company in 2011, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from the University of Washington and worked as a software engineer at Zillow, Optify, and BuzzLabs. As Chief Executive Officer for a decade, he guided the Y Combinator alumni startup to a valuation exceeding $1 billion following a $50 million funding round in April 2021. Under his executive leadership, the enterprise secured financial backing from prominent venture capital firms including Union Square Ventures, Spark Capital, and Insight Partners. Transitioning to his current board-level advisory role in late 2021, Tan now focuses on long-term corporate strategy, machine learning applications, and early-stage technology entrepreneurship.
