Jason Madeano

Jason Madeano is the Co-founder and CEO of Nextbyte, also known as Tweeks.io, an AI-powered recruiting platform based in San Francisco, California. Founded in 2025 alongside co-founder Matt Stallone, the two-person startup participated in the Y Combinator Winter 2025 batch to develop automated technical hiring solutions. Prior to launching Nextbyte, Madeano worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Pinterest, where he led machine learning recommendation initiatives for the platform's Homefeed Relevance team. He holds both a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Brain & Cognitive Science from MIT, and previously received a best paper award at NeurIPS for his research on cultural transmission and reinforcement learning. His current focus centers on leveraging machine learning to evaluate engineering candidates on their conceptual knowledge, practical coding skills, and proficiency with modern AI tools.
